Heart-First Learning
Long before a child can spell their name, they can feel a tight chest, a warm tummy, noodle legs. My Lil' Emotions gives those feelings a shape, a color, and a friend — so kids learn to recognize, hold, and grow through them.
"When little ones can name a feeling, they can hold it. When they can hold it, they can grow through it."
Naming a feeling literally calms the brain. When kids say "I feel sad," the storm starts to settle.
Geometric, feature-light characters let every child see themselves — no fixed face, no fixed mood.
Parents, teachers, and therapists can all point to the same Lil' Emotion and start the same conversation.
Meet the Lil' Emotions
Every Lil' Emotion is a simple shape in a signature color — feature-light by design, so every child can see themselves inside them.

How It Works
My Lil' Emotions isn't just a book and plushies — it's a tiny, repeatable practice that helps feelings move through, not get stuck.
Open the book together. Let the rhymes and watercolor characters set the stage for a feeling-friendly moment.
Point to the Lil' Emotion that matches how your little one feels right now. Naming is the first calm.
Reach for the matching plushie. A feeling you can squeeze is a feeling you can stay with.
Try the at-home prompt — a breath, a wiggle, a love squeeze. Big feelings become bright beginnings.
Read. Name. Hold. Grow.
Four little words. One big practice.
Why It Matters Now
Social-emotional fluency is the foundation kids carry into every classroom, friendship, and future they'll ever build.
When parents and kids share a language for feelings, the hard moments get smaller — and the close moments get bigger.
Teachers and therapists use the same Lil' Emotions to open conversations no curriculum can teach on its own.
Kids who learn to name their feelings early grow into adults who can hold space — for themselves and everyone else.
A little movement
Every named feeling is a small revolution. We're raising a generation that knows their own heart.
Who It's For
The same six Lil' Emotions live at home, in the classroom, and in the therapy room — so kids carry one consistent language across every part of their world.
For Parents
Turn the hardest 10 minutes of the day into a connection moment. The Lil' Emotions give you and your little one a shared language for the storm.
For Educators
Drop the book into morning meeting, point to a Lil' Emotion during conflict resolution, and let the plushies become the classroom's emotional toolkit.
For Therapists
Feature-light shapes invite projection. Kids who can't yet say 'I feel scared' can point to Green Rectangle — and the work begins.
One shared language — at home, in school, and in between.
Our Story
My Lil' Emotions began the way most meaningful things do — with a small moment, a big feeling, and no roadmap.
As a parent and designer, founder Aditi Madaan kept reaching for picture books that could meet her child where the hard feelings actually lived: in the body, before the words. The books on the shelf were beautiful — but most of them told kids what to do with their feelings. Very few sat down beside the feeling first.
So she made one. Six shapes, six colors, one rainbow cloud — feature-light on purpose, so every child could see themselves inside them. The rhymes came next. Then the plushies, because a feeling you can squeeze is a feeling you can stay with.
My Lil' Emotions is built on one belief: every child deserves to know their own heart.
The Brand Voice
We don't fix feelings.
We sit beside them until they pass.
Every word, watercolor, and stitched seam is made to help a child feel seen — not corrected. Because the goal was never to raise calmer kids. It was to raise kids who know how to come home to themselves.
